Learn To Play

Learn To Play

Ten years in the making, a complete guitar book for the guitarist by a guitarist and guitar instructor. Effective and efficient is the best way to describe this unique book of guitar instruction.

After two years of studying classical guitar in private lessons along with Music Education at a community college, Fletcher joined a rock band and a folk duo to play in clubs and private parties along the east coast circuit.

When computers were able to digitally record sound and recording software was available, Fletcher recorded the music that creatively expressed the culmination of his life’s experiences.

Wanting to play all the parts and having been trained in the classical style, which is chordal, Fletcher had to learn to improvise to play the harmony lead part over the melody rhythm of the songs. This led to an exciting learning curve that connected the guitar and integrated the Blues, the first music with improvisation as a conversation, seamlessly to the Western music system. There was so much information that Fletcher began writing it down and Guitar Logic: Patterns For Creative Expression was created and published.

Listen To The Music

Freestyle is the harmony lead “floating” over the melody rhythm, which gives an openness and a free flowing sound that expresses eternity. The names of the songs were derived from Fletcher’s personal experiences. The songs will take you into a daydream and also remind you of your experiences as vibrations are universal.
